Zana'Kay is a qualified Architectural Designer.

Her design concept of the Tongatonga Leisure Centre for Zimbabwe Tourism Authority was also shortlisted in the Top 5 designs.She was recently awarded a lease of land in Bulawayo for the development of her Ndebele Cultural Village whose innovative concept justaposes and interprets modern and historic Ndebele culture in a unique colorful built space.

Although she is versatile enough to design in any style, she describes her personal Architectural style as Afro-Contemporary. Most of her work is indicative of this style,clean lines,open flowing spaces ,exteriors that blend in with the environment and infusion of traditional African elements.Her architecture also incorporates a sense of sustainability environmental responsibility.

Architecture is a passion, a vocation, a calling – as well as a science and a business. It has been described as a social art and also an artful science. Architecture helps the man-made fit in harmony with the environment while promoting health and well-being, enriching lives aesthetically and spiritually, providing economic opportunities, and creating a legacy that reflects and symbolizes culture and traditions.
